Dr Artur Summerfield

Artur Summerfield, handling immunology-related manuscripts, has made important contributions to veterinary immunology with a focus on the porcine immune system and its interaction with viral pathogens. He heads the Immunology Group at the Institute of Virology and Immunoprophylaxis in Mittelhäusern, Switzerland. His current research focus is the characterization of the antigen presenting and interferon system of domestic animals and its functioning during infections.
